God Is Never Late; He’s Seldom Early; He’s Always Right On Time. I’ve heard this saying so many times. It’s even the title of a book by Stan Toler. And as much as I love God, this is one particular aspect of his personality that I just haven’t learned to appreciate yet.
I want God to be early most of the time!
“I don’t need to pray about that. The answer is obvious. “
We’re all used to asking God about things we’re unsure of.
But what about times when we already know the answer, or think we do?
Last time I talked about how, in spite of this popular quote, God absolutely gives us more than we can handle. But why does He do this? If God loves us, why does He deliberately cause us to reach the end of our ability to endure? Isn’t that just plain mean?
Let’s think of it another way.
