We interrupt this regularly scheduled blog for a word from our sponsor—my photography business, Mountain Plover. If you’re looking for a gift that can’t be found in stores, or you would like to decorate your own space, check out some samples below, then click over to my website, Mountain-Plover.com. I take great delight in capturing some of the beauty of God’s creation, and hope that my photography helps others to glorify Him as well.
I usually sell my prints and blank cards in person, either at a speaking engagement or at a one of the craft boutiques so prevalent this time of year. However, I’m also happy to ship greeting cards and matted prints anywhere in the United States. (Overseas? Contact me.) I’m still a one-woman production line, so please order by December 10 to ensure delivery by Christmas, although I’ll do my best if you order after that.
$4 each, or 4 cards for $15 (mix and match).
Cards are 5 x 7 inches, commercially printed on white card stock, with matching envelope. They have one of my photos on the front and a blurb about the photo subject and the photographer (me) on the back. While mostly blank inside with plenty of room to write your message, most cards include a Bible verse printed on an inside margin in very small (7 point) type:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor
and power, for You created all things and by Your will they were
created and have their being.” —Revelation 4:11
Cards that are totally blank inside are indicated with an (*).
Want a different photo on the front, or your own saying inside? Custom cards are also available; minimum order is 25 identical cards for $60, including shipping. Contact me for details.
Sizes: 5″ x 5″ (matted to 8″ x 8″): $12; 5 x 7 (matted to 8 x 10): $15; 5 x 15 (matted to 10 x 20): $30; 8 x 10 (matted to 11 x 14): $30; 8 x 12 (matted to 12 x 15): $35; 12 x 18 (matted to 18 x 24): $70. Not all images are available in all sizes. Shipping not included, as it depends on the size of the prints and the weight of the box. (I do not make money on shipping costs.) Contact me for details or to place an order.
I’ve carefully selected colors to complement each individual print, then hand cut double (in most cases) mats to enhance each photograph. Prints are mounted, then backed with ¼-inch foam core, ready to pop into your frame. All materials are acid free and should last years. Inks used for printing are rated at 100 years without fading, if kept out of direct sunlight.
These are just a few of the photos available. Visit my photo website for a much larger selection. (Photos sold through my website are not matted. You need to contact me directly to buy matted prints at these special, low, “blog reader” prices.)
